In recent years European environmental policy has become a priority
concern for all those who work within the environmental sphere.
With the increasing influence of the European Union and the
profusion of environmental policy that it generates, there is a
great need for a forum of discussion which confronts the issues
central to the development of environmental management. Earlier
European Environment Conferences established a comprehensive
platform for this debate. The fifth annual European Environment
Conference promises to develop this discussion by tackling key
areas relevant to environmental professionals at all levels from
across Europe. To this end we have brought together a number of
expert speakers from diverse backgrounds to present papers on a
range of areas related to current developments in European
environmental policy.
Coverage includes:
- Sustainable development in Europe
- Policy implementation
- Public participation
- Environmental management
- Eco-labelling
- Nature conservation
- Energy and water management
- Sustainable tourism
- Regional development
- Planning and the environment
- Environmental regulation
- Eastern Europe
