The 2nd International Conference which will be organized from 6th to 9th June 1995 in Bratislava, is to evaluate the ecological and economic development of the Danube region in previous periods, in particular in these areas:

Ecology of the Region and Legal Treatment of the Environment - implementation of government authority in this area, governmnet supervision and the environmental impact assessment, inspection and penalties.

Economic aspects of Transformation of Water Implementation and Protection - present status analysis, economic tools for problems solution in the future, financing of activities, Environmental Fund, PHARE projects, possibilities for recreation and tourism in this area.

Development and Dynamics of Changes of the Danube Region - complex monitoring of the environment, long term changes of ecosystem and reasons analysis.

Nowadays the Danube region presents a complex of environmental questions connected with economic and social problems. The aim of the Conference is to define more precisely these questions and help to find answers.
