Pandion haliaetus is one of the most beautiful raptors. It may be regarded not only as a symbol of beauty, but also as a symbol of hunting skill-fullness as well. It belongs to the list of endangered migratory bird species which occur in areas of Slovakia just for a few weeks during their migration in spring and autumn. The article shows a detailed picture of its hunting on the Danube River according to personal observations by the author.
