The goals of the workshops focus on the following: -To set up a framework for international co-operation between regional media, local authorities, NGOs and independent environmental journalists from Slovak and Czech Republic, Ukraine, and Hungary as a prerequisite for building up a common strategy in raising public awareness in matters concerning Local Agenda 21. -To develop, to transfer and to disseminate examples of good practice at the local, regional and national levels. Central point: Human values compatible with a sustainable way of life in relationships to consumption - production patterns. We would like to define and compare the contemporary situation and development trends in different countries, regions or communities in connection with the above mentioned problem. The participants will have opportunities to exchange experience in making environmental information systems more transparent and available to the public.
